With approximately 45% light transmission vs white opaque acrylic, Acrycast Opal acrylic sheets, are designed to provide even and bright illumination for backlit signage applications including illuminated letters and light boxes. Crafted from cast acrylic, these sheets showcase remarkable physical, mechanical, chemical resistance, and thermal properties. They also exhibit high UV resistance and outstanding weatherability, making them ideal for outdoor use. These sheets are easily fabricated even with standard woodworking tools and well-suited for thermoforming, as well laser cutting and router cutting methods where more intricate designs are desired. Additionally, they are compatible with UV and latex printing methods.
About Cast Acrylic Sheets
Cast acrylic sheets, also commonly known as Perspex and Plexiglass are manufactured by casting liquid methyl methacrylate between two plates of glass and putting it through a curing process.
Acrycast acrylic opal sheets can be cut to size upon request.
