Last month, international wrap expert Justin Pate hosted the Queensland Matrix Workshop at the Avery Dennison Innovation Centre, offering attendees an up-close look at one of the most advanced training facilities in the region.
Completed in 2023, the Innovation Centre is the first of its kind in Asia Pacific for Avery Dennison. Designed as a central hub for innovation and education, the facility supports Avery Dennison branches and customers across the region. It serves as a dedicated space for cutting-edge training, new product launches, webinars, and virtual live events, as well as certified partner and installer programs.
Built with the goal of empowering professionals entering the graphics and wrap industry, the centre provides tailored resources and hands-on experiences for those working with Avery Dennison’s extensive range of films and materials. From automotive aftermarket to architectural, window films, and corporate branding applications, every detail of the facility has been designed to mirror real-world installation environments.
Key features of the Innovation Centre include:
300 sqm total area
150 sqm main floor space
Two wet application bays
Standard Ribtrax click flooring
Large Hexagrid LED lighting
Two high-gloss epoxy-coated bays for dry applications
Reflecting on the workshop facility, Justin Pate praised the centre for its design and space, noting how it enhances the quality of hands-on training for both new and experienced installers for a wide range of applications.
