Kick off the year in bold colour with Arlon Series 2100SL—a high-performance cast film engineered to deliver standout results. To close out the Arlon Colour Carnival series, we knew we had to finish strong, and our Technical Specialist Brett Matthews did exactly that.

Brett brought the concept to life by designing and hand-building a fully moving carousel—no small feat. The structure was constructed using a combination of rigid substrates including hard-skinned PVC, acrylic, and ACM, before being wrapped in Arlon 2100SL to inject colour, movement, and impact. The result was a striking showcase of both creativity and material performance.

Arlon Series 2100SL is a premium cast coloured film featuring a permanent adhesive and exceptional conformability. Designed to perform on complex curves, deep recesses, and corrugated surfaces, it delivers reliable results across even the most demanding applications—now enhanced with the added benefits of a synthetic liner.

The film is equipped with a polyester (PET) synthetic liner, offering significant advantages during application. This liner delivers improved dimensional stability and resistance to tearing, moisture absorption, and static build-up—making cutting and weeding smoother and more precise, particularly for fine text and intricate designs. Its flatter liner surface also reduces adhesive texture, resulting in higher gloss levels and a noticeably glossier finish. Thanks to the liner’s transparency, Series 2100SL is also ideal for multi-layer graphic applications.

Durability is another key strength. Arlon Series 2100SL is now rated for up to 12 years outdoor durability on black (up to 10 years on select colours). Built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, it maintains its colour, finish, and integrity over the long term—making it a reliable choice for premium, long-life signage and wrap applications.
