In this video, Gill Harrison from William Smith Group is joined by Mike Szwascki, who is the resident vehicle wrapper at MEK Wrap squad, to gain insight on his experience using Arlon's Premium Colour Change (PCC) wrap film. According to Mike, the product's most notable feature is its ability to prevent glue lines thanks to Arlon's Flite Technology. This technology ensures that the wrap film has only 25% contact with the substrate, which effectively prevents the adhesive from leaving any residue. To demonstrate this benefit, Mike partially installed the wrap on the front bumper of a Range Rover - an area of high tension - and finished the installation after 24 hours, resulting in no visible glue lines. Another added advantage of the low tack is that if the product sticks to itself or requires repositioning, it can be peeled apart easily.
Mike goes on to discuss what he sees as the three key features of the Arlon Premium Colour Change. Firstly, the vinyl's back lining is easy to peel off due to the absence of static, making it ideal for large panels. This feature is also thanks to Arlon's Flite Technology, which allows for easy liner release without distortion. Secondly, despite its thinness, the vinyl is a durable cast film that can last up to 10 years. The vinyl is also highly conformable, with a thickness of 76-84 microns, which allows it to easily fit into deep curves, channels, and recesses. Lastly, the product's high gloss level is protected by a film, ensuring a flawless ultra-gloss finish that is the best in its class. The combination of the vinyl's durability and protective film make it highly resistant to scratches, sanding, and rashing.
